UPDATED INCIDENT SUMMARY: A physical altercation between several suspects and the victim took place in the parking lot area in front of the Community Activities Building. One of the suspects ultimately produced a handgun and fired at the victim, fatally wounding him. A second victim, a male juvenile, was also shot by the suspect and suffered a non-life threatening bullet wound.

During the course of this investigation, a search warrant for a residence located in Santa Clara was executed on 04-19-04.

Suspect #1 has been identified by witnesses as the person who shot both victims. A “no bail” arrest warrant, charging 187(A) P.C. - Murder, has been issued against this suspect.

Suspect #2 has been identified as an accessory to the murder and a warrant in the amount of $1,000,000.00 has been issued for her arrest.

Both suspects are still outstanding. This remains an active investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
